Brief Portrait

Anton Schantl received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Graz in 1996. He spent one year as a visiting student at the University of Exeter. He started his career at the department of controlling at ANDRITZ AG. As the assistant manager of the group controlling department he was i.e. responsible for the preparation of the consolidated financial statements. He then worked on the establishment of an independent group accounting for the PIPELINE Group. Since 2002 he has been employed in the controlling department of MAGNA STEYR in Graz and since 2009 he has also been authorized representative and executive director for the departments of finance and controlling of the MAGNA STEYR Group. Anton Schantl is currently teaching the undergraduate course "Practice of Controlling" from the SBWL track "Managerial Accounting" at the University of Graz.
